Documents Required

Applicants generally need to submit the following documents:

• Original passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from the Schengen Area and issued within the last 10 years
• Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
• Two recent passport-size photographs as per Schengen specifications
• Cover letter explaining the purpose of travel
• Confirmed round-trip flight reservation
• Hotel reservation or proof of accommodation
• Detailed day-wise travel itinerary
• Travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000, valid throughout the Schengen Area
• Proof of sufficient financial means (latest 3–6 months' bank statements)
• Income Tax Returns (ITR), if applicable
• Employment proof (leave approval letter, salary slips, employment certificate) or business registration documents
• Proof of civil status, if applicable
• Any additional documents requested by the Embassy or Visa Application Centre

Processing Time

• Standard Processing Time: Approximately 15 calendar days
• Processing may take up to 45 calendar days in cases requiring additional verification.
• Applicants are advised to apply at least 3–4 weeks before their intended date of travel.

Visa & VFS Fee

• Schengen Visa Fee (Adults): EUR 90
• Children (6–11 years): EUR 45
• Children below 6 years: No visa fee
• VFS Service Charge: Applicable as per the Visa Application Centre handling Luxembourg visa applications.
