Mozambique Tourist Visa for Indian Citizens

Documents Checklist

Applicants should generally prepare the following documents:

  • Original passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of entry
  • Completed online e-Visa application form or Embassy visa application form
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Scanned copy of the passport bio-data page
  • Cover letter explaining the purpose of travel
  • Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
  • Hotel reservation or invitation letter from the host in Mozambique
  • Detailed day-wise travel itinerary
  • Proof of sufficient financial means (latest 3–6 months' bank statements)
  • Employment proof (employment letter, salary slips, leave approval) or business registration documents
  • Income Tax Returns (ITR), if applicable
  • Travel medical insurance (strongly recommended)
  • Proof of Yellow Fever vaccination if arriving from or transiting through a Yellow Fever risk country
  • Any additional documents requested by the Embassy or Mozambique Immigration Authorities

Processing Time

  • e-Visa: Approximately 5–7 working days
  • Sticker Visa: Approximately 7–15 working days, depending on Embassy processing.
  • Applicants should apply at least 2–4 weeks before departure.


Visa & VFS Fee

  • Visa Fee: Varies depending on visa type, nationality, and duration of stay.
  • VFS Fee: Applicable only where visa applications are accepted through an authorized Visa Application Centre.
  • Visa and service charges are subject to change by the Government of Mozambique without prior notice


Travel Advice

  • Verify whether you are eligible for the official Mozambique e-Visa before applying.
  • Carry printed copies of your passport, approved visa, hotel bookings, return flight tickets, travel insurance, and proof of sufficient financial means.
  • Ensure your passport has at least six months' validity and sufficient blank pages.
  • If travelling from a Yellow Fever affected country, carry a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.
  • Immigration authorities may request additional supporting documents and have the final authority regarding entry into Mozambique.
