Myanmar Tourist Visa for Indian Citizens

Documents Checklist

Applicants should generally prepare the following documents:

  • Original passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of entry
  • Completed online Myanmar e-Visa application form
  • Recent passport-size colour photograph (taken within the last 3 months)
  • Scanned copy of the passport bio-data page
  • Confirmed return or onward flight ticket
  • Hotel reservation or proof of accommodation
  • Detailed day-wise travel itinerary
  • Proof of sufficient financial means (latest 3–6 months' bank statements)
  • Travel medical insurance (recommended)
  • Cover letter explaining the purpose of travel (if requested)
  • Any additional documents requested by the Ministry of Immigration and Population, Myanmar

Processing Time

  • Standard Processing Time: Approximately 3 working days
  • Processing may take longer if additional verification is required.
  • Applicants should apply at least 1–2 weeks before their intended travel date.

Visa & VFS Fee

  • Visa Fee: USD 50 for a Tourist e-Visa (single entry), as prescribed by the Government of Myanmar.
  • VFS Fee: Not applicable for e-Visa applications.
  • Visa fees are payable online through the official Myanmar e-Visa portal and are non-refundable.


 Travel Advice

  • Apply for your Myanmar e-Visa only through the official government portal.
  • Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
  • Carry printed copies of your approved e-Visa, passport, return flight tickets, hotel bookings, and proof of sufficient funds.
  • Verify the latest entry requirements and designated international entry points before travelling, as regulations may change.
  • Immigration authorities have the final authority to grant or refuse entry and may request additional supporting documents upon arrival.
