Niger Tourist Visa for Indian Citizens
Planning a trip to Niger? Located in West Africa, Niger is known for its vast Sahara Desert, the Aïr Mountains, the historic city of Agadez (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and unique cultural heritage. Indian passport holders are required to obtain a tourist visa before travelling to Niger. Tourist visa applications must generally be submitted through the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Niger before departure. Niger currently does not offer an e-Visa or Visa on Arrival for ordinary Indian passport holders travelling for tourism.

Visa Documents Checklist
Applicants should generally prepare the following documents:
- Original passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of entry with at least two blank pages
- Completed and signed Niger Tourist Visa application form
- Two recent passport-size colour photographs
- Cover letter explaining the purpose of travel
- Confirmed round-trip flight reservation
- Hotel reservation or invitation letter from the host in Niger
- Detailed day-wise travel itinerary
- Proof of sufficient financial means (latest 3–6 months' bank statements)
- Income Tax Returns (ITR), if applicable
- Employment proof (employment letter, leave approval, salary slips) or business registration documents
- Travel medical insurance covering the duration of stay
- Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate (mandatory) for entry into Niger
- Any additional documents requested by the Embassy or Nigerien immigration authorities
Processing Time
- Standard Processing Time: Approximately 7–15 working days, depending on the Embassy's assessment and document verification.
- Applicants are advised to apply at least 3–4 weeks before their intended travel date.
Visa & VFS Fee
- Visa Fee: Varies depending on the duration of stay and visa category as prescribed by the Government of Niger.
- VFS Fee: Not Applicable, as applications are generally submitted directly to the Embassy or Consulate.

- A Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is mandatory and must be presented upon arrival.
