Slovakia Tourist Visa for Indian Passport Holders
Planning a trip to Slovakia? Indian passport holders are required to obtain a Schengen Short-Stay (Type C) Sticker Visa before travelling. A Slovakia Schengen Visa allows eligible travellers to visit Slovakia and other Schengen member countries for tourism, family visits, or short business trips for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Applications are submitted through the Embassy of the Slovak Republic or its authorised Visa Application Centre.

Visa Documents Checklist
Applicants generally need the following documents:
- Original passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from the Schengen Area and issued within the last 10 years
- Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
- Two recent passport-size photographs as per ICAO specifications
- Cover letter explaining the purpose of travel
- Confirmed flight reservation
- Confirmed hotel booking or accommodation proof
- Detailed travel itinerary
- Overseas travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000, valid throughout the Schengen Area
- Proof of sufficient financial means (recent bank statements, salary slips, Income Tax Returns, etc.)
- Employment proof (leave approval, employment letter) or business registration documents
- Proof of civil status, if applicable
- Any additional supporting documents requested by the Embassy.
Processing Time
- Standard processing time is generally 15 calendar days from the date of submission.
- Processing may take up to 45 calendar days if additional scrutiny or documentation is required.
- Applicants are advised to apply at least 3–4 weeks before their intended travel date.
Visa & VFS Fee
- Visa Type: Schengen Sticker Visa
- Schengen Visa Fee (Adults): EUR 90
- Children (6–12 years): EUR 45
- Children below 6 years: No visa fee
- VFS Service Fee: Applicable in addition to the visa fee as per the authorised Visa Application Centre.
- Optional value-added services may attract additional charges.
Visa fees are subject to revision by the European Union and the Embassy.
Travel Advice
- Apply well in advance of your travel dates.
- Ensure your passport has at least two blank visa pages.
- Carry printed copies of your visa, travel insurance, hotel bookings, return flight tickets and financial documents.
- Your first entry into the Schengen Area should preferably be through Slovakia if it is your main destination.
- Immigration authorities may request proof of accommodation, sufficient funds and onward travel upon arrival.
- Purchasing comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.
