Slovenia Tourist Visa for Indian Passport Holders

Planning a holiday in Slovenia? Indian passport holders are required to obtain a Schengen Short-Stay (Type C) Sticker Visa before travelling. A Slovenia Schengen Visa allows travellers to visit Slovenia and other Schengen member countries for tourism, family visits, or short business trips for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Visa applications are submitted through the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia or its authorised Visa Application Centre.

Visa Documents Checklist

Applicants generally need the following documents:

  • Original passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from the Schengen Area and issued within the last 10 years
  • Completed and signed Schengen visa application form
  • Two recent passport-size photographs meeting ICAO standards
  • Cover letter explaining the purpose of travel
  • Confirmed return flight reservation
  • Confirmed hotel reservation or proof of accommodation
  • Day-wise travel itinerary
  • Overseas travel medical insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000, valid throughout the Schengen Area
  • Proof of sufficient financial means (recent bank statements, salary slips, Income Tax Returns, etc.)
  • Employment proof (leave approval, employment letter) or business registration documents
  • Proof of civil status, where applicable
  • Any additional documents requested by the Embassy based on the applicant's profile.

 


Processing Time

  • Standard processing time is generally 15 calendar days from the date of submission.
  • Processing may take up to 45 calendar days if additional verification is required.
  • Applicants are advised to submit their applications at least 3–4 weeks before their intended travel date.

 


Visa & VFS Fee

  • Visa Type: Schengen Sticker Visa
  • Schengen Visa Fee (Adults): EUR 90
  • Children aged 6–12 years: EUR 45
  • Children below 6 years: No visa fee
  • VFS Service Fee: Applicable in addition to the visa fee, as charged by the authorised Visa Application Centre.
  • Optional premium and value-added services may attract additional charges.

Visa fees are subject to revision by the European Union and the Embassy.

 

Travel Advice

  • Apply for your visa well in advance of your travel dates.
  • Ensure your passport has at least two blank visa pages.
  • Carry printed copies of your visa, travel insurance, hotel bookings, return flight tickets and financial documents during travel.
  • If Slovenia is your main destination, your Schengen visa application should be submitted through the Slovenian authorities.
  • Immigration officials may ask for proof of accommodation, sufficient financial means and onward travel upon arrival.
  • Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for your trip.
