Svalbard & Jan Mayen Entry Requirements for Indian Passport Holders

Svalbard and Jan Mayen are territories of Norway located in the Arctic region. There is no separate visa for Svalbard itself, and Indian passport holders must first obtain a valid Schengen Visa for Norway to transit through mainland Norway before travelling to Svalbard. While Svalbard has a unique visa-free policy for certain nationalities, Indian citizens are not visa-exempt, and entry is controlled through Norwegian immigration rules.

All travel to Svalbard must comply with regulations issued by the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI).
