Turkey Tourist Visa for Indian Passport Holders
Planning a trip to Turkey? Indian passport holders are required to obtain a Tourist Visa before travelling. Depending on eligibility, Indian citizens may apply for an e-Visa or a Sticker Visa. The e-Visa is available only to Indian ordinary passport holders who hold a valid visa or residence permit issued by a Schengen country, the United States, the United Kingdom, or Ireland and meet other eligibility requirements. Applicants who do not qualify for the e-Visa must apply for a Sticker Visa through the Turkish Embassy/Consulate via its authorized visa application centre.

Visa Documents Checklist
Applicants generally need the following documents:
- Original passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay
- Completed visa application form
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Cover letter explaining the purpose of travel
- Confirmed round-trip flight reservation
- Hotel booking or invitation letter from the host in Turkey
- Detailed day-wise travel itinerary
- Last 3–6 months bank statements
- Income Tax Returns (ITR), if applicable
- Employment proof (leave approval, employment letter) or business registration documents
- Travel medical insurance covering the entire stay
- Proof of sufficient financial means
- For e-Visa applicants: Valid visa or residence permit from a Schengen country, USA, UK, or Ireland (as applicable)
- Additional documents may be requested by the Embassy or Consulate
Processing Time
- e-Visa: Usually processed within 24–48 hours
- Sticker Visa: Approximately 10–15 working days
- Applicants should apply at least 3–4 weeks before their intended travel date.
